LCEPs Connect Event in Bradford

Some of the Forge team attended the LCEPs Connect event in Bradford, hosted by Curious Minds.
After a warm welcome from Jade Ibegbuna, Bradford Council’s Head of Cultural Partnerships, the day consisted of presentations from local LCEPs.
A brief outline of the day
Members of Arts Council England’s Artsmark team presented the findings of their Action Research which involved place based projects across different schools with the overall aim of understanding how the artsmark framework can be used to empower and support schools.

MADE - A group of young people from Manchester presented their experiences as ‘creative influencers’ and ‘creative leaders’. It’s a programme that places these secondary school age children at the heart of the decision making process in a variety of projects including a Symposium and a series of workshops exploring creative careers and leadership. The afternoon saw group activities and discussion focused on the Cultural Learning Alliance, facilitated by Caz Brader. The group’s contributions will form part of a national set of recommendations shared with the Department of Education.
